So I started my Les Mills Combat Journey May 2014. I was a little nervous of this program and would I really like it?
Well- let me tell you- it took about 3 minutes into it and I was HOOKED! Dan and Rachel and the crew made it fun, doable, challenging, and occasionally made me laugh.
Throughout the journey I learned a few things:
1. I am tough (when I need to be)
2. I can try anything atleast once
3. Jump Kicks are scary at first but then are addicting once you get it!
4. Waking up at 4:30am to do a 60 minute workout- Loved it with this program- made me feel strong from the moment I woke up!
5. Don't be afraid- you truly don't know what you can do unless you try!
Here is my transformation!

Non Scale Victory
So yesterday ended my first four weeks with LES MILLS COMBAT. It has been a challenge but that only equals change. I decided for the first time not to focus on the scale in my bathroom as progress but to go shopping. THE DREADED bathing suit shopping. UGH.
So, off I went yesterday with my daughter. Grabbed a few off the rack, even a size smaller than what I thought I was. The smaller size fit- I for the first time in a long long long time- I felt confident.
Not 100% towards my goal but I am well on my way! I actually started to cry in the dressing room. My daughter started to hug me and said its okay mommy. I told her these were happy tears and she hugged me and said ok :)
What non scale victory have you had lately? Changed your eating habits, tracked your eating, drinking more water, getting rid of pop, no more sugar?
My non scale victory was knowing by the clothes that I was getting closer to my ideal body type!
What body type to you aspire to have? Here is my ideal body type.

Perfect formula
So vacation is just around the corner and I am definitely in need of a week away!
What do you do to relax? Read a book, take a nap, take an extra long bath or shower?
But I know I must stay on track to get the best out of my day!
So I have found the perfect formula to my day:
1. Wake up with a positive attitude
2. Wash my face and workout for 30 minutes
3. Drink water!
4. Get my work day ready and drink my Shakeology!
5. Work day by serving others
6. Drive home either in silence to take it in or singing my head off! 😄
7. Play and have a family sit down together dinner
8. Play, snuggles, and book time before bed
9. Relax for 30-60 minutes by reading a book watching a tv show or talking with a friend
10. Go to bed with positivity and gratefulness to do it all again tomorrow!
27 months with Beachbody and total transformation in eating, drinking, and thinking!
As simple as from home, some planning, grocery shopping adjustments, and accountability from my online confidential Facebook group!
Being a mom, wife, daughter, sister, fulltime nurse, part time adjunct faculty, part time doctoral student= it can be done! Let me know if you want to hear more.

Time away but....
I am human. I have had to take a break from most things in my life due to work and school. AGAIN- no excuses but I am human. I realized that I am not the same person now that I used to be. I focus more on getting through the motions of the day rather than trying to be my best.
I need to be my best. FOR me, FOR my daughter, FOR my family, FOR my work, and FOR everything else I encounter in my life. SO what is being the best?
During my break I realized- ok, I could do better with my eating, I love my shakeology and that has been my new norm over the last two years! Shakeology is my every morning breakfast, occasionally lunch, and nighttime snack.
Also- I felt that my body was beat up. NOT the good post workout soreness. The LACK of taking care of it soreness. I wasn't sleeping, didn't have a good attitude most days, and mostly I noticed my brain was not at its top potential.
So what to do? GET MY BUTT BACK IN GEAR! Take 30-45 minutes a day to push it and sweat out all stress in my life. Spend 20-30 minutes on the weekend to prep my food plan and of course grocery shop (but face it we do that anyway!).

New Year- New Hopes
Well I have been quite busy lately and sorry for not posting sooner. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year with your loved ones! I know I did!
Been taking time for me everyday has been the best gift I could give myself. Presenting new challenges and making better decisions is something I truly appreciate over the last year and something I will mostly definitely continue this year!
I am hitting T25 hard again with my challengers starting January 6th! If you are interested in joining our free group of support and motivation - LET ME KNOW!
What are your goals for 2014?
Here are mine:
1. Complete T25 and Combat or Insanity before June!
2. Be atleast 25 pounds lighter before vacation in June!
3. Continue my good habits despite the stressors around me (school, work)!
4. Grow my beachbody family to achieve Diamond Coaching status!
5. Complete my first year of my Doctorate schooling with a GPA of atleast a 3.5!
6. Enjoy every moment more than I did last year. Life is too short to stress or complain.

These are big goals of mine but I find that if I write them down I WILL achieve them!
SO as you can see 2014 will be focused around ME and my Family!
Love hard, work hard, play even harder, and laugh the hardest!
God bless!

T25 Alpha Phase
So starting a new program I always get mixed emotions- i will miss Chalean with Turbofire but am excited to start with Shaun T :)
I started my journey of T25 October 1st. The first phase of the program is called Alpha Phase. As Shaun T calls it- it is labeled as your foundation of moves and the basics of the program.
With the Alpha Phase I have lost 7 pounds! 25 minutes a day for 5 weeks and lost 7 pounds! I really didn't think the 25 minutes a day would do much for me but is just equally beneficial as the hour long workouts! LOVE IT.
Here are my results:
