Transformation story
In 2009- I was struggling to get pregnant. I wanted more than anything in the world to have a child. My doctor diagnosed me with infertility. When he told me that my health and weight were primary influences to this- it really shocked me. I thought I was an active person. Yes- I was. But, so much that I was sleeping 4 hours a night, eating whatever I wanted at all hours of the day, and not exercising.
February 2012 (6 months after I had Abby)- I realized it was time to do something about my health rather than sulk in sorrow. I was introduced to this wonderful community of Team BeachBody. I found fitness guides and programs, emotional support when I thought I couldn't go on, and dietary planning and decision making help. I am currently 35 pounds down from when I started Team Beachbody and want to continue to help myself but ultimately pay back all the good that was shown to me.
- November 2010 I found out I was pregnant. I had lost 10 pounds on my own but once the "pregnancy" label was on myself- I figured all bets are off and I can eat whatever I want.
- March 2011- I had a pretty devastating personal event happen in my family. Being pregnant- I knew and told myself- this is my test to see how strong I am. Made it through it but not gracefully.
- July 2011 my little precious Abigail arrived. I was in love all over again. Still not feeling "Great" I knew I needed to do something about it. I didn't have postpartum depression but looking back- I was close.

So- why help others get healthy? I see so much disarray with being involved in Emergency Nursing. Some much health disparities that could be prevented. As present day Americans we like the fast, easier, quick self fulfilling life. This includes our health. "Give me a pill, I want surgery". But our health- I believe- involves many aspects.
First- our mind. Clear minds help us concentrate, work efficiently at what we do, and help make decisions not only for ourselves but for others.Sweat and strength. To produce a clear mind, bodily movement on a daily occurrence helps aid in thinking and best decision making. By sweating I mean- exercise. At least of 30 minutes a day. This is 2% of our day. YOU DO HAVE TIME FOR THIS.Clean eating and drinking. THIS was my hardest struggle. I was so used to my daily habits that I thought- well I will just continue to exercise and not change my diet and I will be fine. WRONG! What you fuel your body with assists your body in exercise and clear thinking.
