Why are planning meals so important? For me- it takes the thinking, stress, and temptation away! Its like having a meeting with your boss. You know to prep for it, be on time and on track, and follow through. You would never be late, unprepared, and drop the ball with your boss so why would you with your nutrition and the way you feed your body!
Planning for me starts Thursdays. I plan out my next week according to my work schedule, my personal schedule, and put it together. I plan out my lunches and dinners since my breakfast is Shakeology everyday and my snacks are my routine :)
I make my plan and put it in the template listed below. I then make my grocery list. Then on Fridays after work I head to the grocery store and get what I need for the weekend and the following week. So essentially my planning is done by Friday of the previous week.
Oh and the best part- you get one cheat a week! Want that hamburger, pizza, or fried food? Go for it but only once a week! Believe it or not your body needs a taste of the bad too to appreciate the good! So promise me that you will only cheat one meal a week!
